Between job hunting, finals and graduation, I haven't had the time to try out many new products. But today I come to you with a (fairly) new product in hand, the L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara ($7.97+). It's advertised in magazines, has its own TV commercial and is talked about all over YouTube so naturally I had to try it.

Target Haul (Skincare + Haircare)
Hello everyone! My sincerest apologies for being MIA the past two months on my blog and every other social media platform, except Instagram. Between traveling every other week, schoolwork and things going on at home it was incredibly hard to find the time to film, let alone write a blog post. I explain more in this video as to what took me so long to start blogging and vlogging again so be sure to give it a view. I will be writing posts and filming videos on a regular basis again so keep your eyes peeled for more to come!

August Beauty Empties 2013 (Michael Todd, Maybelline, Philosophy + More!)
I have a real treat for all my followers today! I decided to make up for not posting a video in two weeks by posting up two videos in one week. I know it's not the same as a video every week but this is my way of saying sorry and also embracing the fact that I am done with my internship and school. So here is my first ever beauty empties/products I've used up video!

Review: L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation
I'd always been curious about drugstore foundations but I was always hesitant because of my bad experiences with drugstore products in the past. But as you can see from my recent string of posts, I've been having more and more good experiences with the drugstore so I finally caved in and bought myself a drugstore foundation. I ended up purchasing the L'Oreal True Match Lumi ($9.89) because I prefer a demi-matte complexion with medium coverage, which I had heard were characteristics of this foundation.
I've been using this foundation for around 2 weeks now and I'm so glad that this was my first drugstore foundation. It's definitely made a good impression on me on behalf of all the most raved about drugstore foundations out there, and for good reason. While the packaging is pretty lame, everything else about the product makes up for that. The foundation has light to medium coverage with a demi-matte finish, meaning it hides your imperfections and keeps your skin looking natural and healthy. One thing that I've noticed though, is that you definitely need to thoroughly shake this foundation before applying it, otherwise it tends to streak.
I like to use my beautyblender to apply the foundation to my face and I always set it with my bareMinerals Touch Up Veil. The foundation lasts all day and I'm always out from 9 AM to 8 PM on the weekdays, so that says a lot! It also stands up to the humid weather and sweaty summer days, which makes me love it even more. I do have to use a blotting sheet halfway through the day to take off excess shine, but I generally have to do that no matter what foundation or powder I'm using.
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who is in the market for an affordable yet high quality foundation with dry to normal skin. I wouldn't suggest it for those with oilier skin because of the demi-matte finish, which could possibly make you too shiny. Otherwise, it's got a great finish, intense staying power and is excellent for those on a budget.

Review: L'Oreal Lip Lacquer in Rose On and On
I've been on a serious drugstore product review kick lately, but as I mentioned in my Maybelline Color Whisper review, the drugstore has really been killing it lately! Today's product is the L'Oreal Lip Lacquer ($7.99) in the shade Rose On and On and these Lip Lacquers are supposed to be dupes of the YSL Glossy Stains. Unfortunately, I've never tried a YSL Glossy Stain so I can't really compare it but I can imagine how this product is supposed to work and whether it's a good product in general.
