I'm going to keep this review short and sweet because I'm in the second to last week of both my internship and my summer classes so I have tons of work piling up that I need to get to ASAP! I've recently gotten really into nail care since I've noticed that my nails have been peeling and my cuticles have been drier than they usually are. I bought the OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener ($8.29) after watching videos of MakeupByTiffanyD and Elleandish talking about how they use the same line of polish to strengthen their nails.
The product is a clear polish that leaves a nice gloss on your nails. The instructions say to apply two coats to your nails and then apply another coat on top every other day for one week. At the end of the week you can remove the polish and reapply. I've only used the product for a week so far, so I can't attest to any long term results, but I've noticed that after using it for one week my nails haven't been peeling as much. My nails have recently begun to peel a lot and it's gotten to the point where they look uneven and jagged at times. Now the peeling has gone down to a minimum where only one or two nails begin to peel and I'm not ripping off an entire layer of my nail.
I plan on alternating between colored polish and this nail strengthener every other week and I'll be sure to tweet about any updates any results. However, my experience with this product has been very positive so far and I'd definitely recommend it to any of my friends who are looking to deal with weak and brittle nails.
