Review: Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Liner in Nude

I would like to sincerely apologize for my absence this past week. Over the weekend I broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years and really needed to take a week to focus on myself. I hope you all can understand that I really just couldn't bring myself to write a blog post or film a video. But now I'm back in the groove and will be posting regularly again, blog posts on Mondays and Fridays and a video on Wednesday.

Now that all that's out of the way let's get on with the real reason for this post, and that is to review a product that everyone and their mother has been raving about; Rimmel's Scandaleyes in Nude ($4.49). I feel like I've literally heard every YT guru and beauty blogger on the planet talking about this product and how amazing it is, so naturally, I had to try it out for myself.

I had always been on the lookout for a nude colored liner that I could use in my waterline that would stay put and not smudge. I'd tried many liners in the past, both drugstore and high end, but since I am a contact-lens wearer my eyes would always tear up and the liner would be gone within seconds of putting it on. So you can see why I was very skeptical about this product as well.

However, I was very pleased after using it a couple of times and noticing that it held up better than any of the other liners I had tried in the past. The liner comes in pencil form, so you would have to sharpen it as you use it, which unfortunately I'm lazy and much rather prefer a twist-up. Aside from that, the product itself is very creamy and glides on easily without pulling or tugging on your lid.

The pigmentation of the pencil is also quite nice, while it hardly shows up on my arm in the swatch above, I'd have to attribute that to the fact that it's so close to my skin color. The pencil is indeed quite pigmented and you can definitely see the impact it has on your eyes when you line your waterline with it. Your eyes seem instantly brighter and wider awake, without being as stark as a white liner. Also, it lasts for about 2-3 hours on my waterline and that's almost an eternity for me since I usually find any liner in my waterline gone or smudged within 15 minutes or less.

I'd highly suggest purchasing this product if you're in the market for a nude colored liner for your waterline. It's affordable, creamy and pigmented and lasts for a decent amount of time on my waterline. It also doesn't irritate my eyes, which is a problem for a lot of contact-lens wearers when they use eye products.

  1. I really liked this as it's such nice quality and really brightens the eyes. Unfortunately it really irritated my eyes though.
