Barneys New York Haul

I went to Barneys this past weekend and picked up a few things for myself and my mom. I bought my mom some skincare from Shiseido, which is why I have a few Shiseido and Clé de Peau Beauté samples in my haul. For myself, I went to the Chanel and Bobbi Brown counters and picked up one item each. I also stopped off to look at some Deborah Lippmann polishes but the sales representative was so overly eager to sell me a polish that I felt too pressured to make a good choice, so I ended up just walking away.

1. Shiseido Perfect Mascara Defining Volume ($24) - I got a lot of other Shiseido samples from the wonderful sales rep at the Shiseido counter, but since they were all skincare items, I gave all of them except for this mascara to my mom. I've never been very into Shiseido mascaras but I figured there's no harm in trying one. I don't know what to expect out of this mascara but I'm already starting to like the brush since it's very long and slender with short bristles, which I hope will help to separate and define my lashes.
2. Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Color in Secreté ($34) - This is my first ever Chanel product and I'm super excited. I've already worn it once and I'm absolutely in love with it. I'll have a more in depth review coming soon, but for now I'll say that it's very hydrating and long lasting. The shade I got is a bright rosy pink and I can't wait to go back for more shades. (Unfortunately, I can't link you to the Barneys website when it comes to Chanel products because they don't sell Chanel online, so don't be confused if you end up on Nordstrom's site.)
3. Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream ($69) - The price tag on this product is crazy high but I was willing to splurge because my eyes are incredibly dry and sensitive. I've been searching for a great eye cream for what seems like forever and I seriously can't find one. I've heard a lot of great things about the Bobbi Brown eye creams so I figured I'd give it a shot. So far I'm really liking it but I'm going to have to give it a while before I can tell if it actually improves the condition of the skin around my eyes.
4 & 5. Clé de Peau Beauté Extra Rich Lipstick in R10 ($60) - Since Clé de Peau Beauté is the sister company of Shiseido, the Shiseido sales rep also gave me some Clé de Peau lipsticks to try. I own the Clé de Peau concealer, which I love, so I know they make some really great stuff. $60 is very expensive for a lipstick so I'm glad I got some samples first before I commit myself to splurging on one. Since these are sample sizes they don't look anywhere as amazing and beautiful as the real deal with their untraditional geometric shape. I've yet to try it but as soon as I do I'll be sure to put up a review!
I hope you enjoyed this haul and didn't totally wig out about the price tags of these products. They're really hefty but I really only bought the Chanel lipstick and the Bobbi Brown eye cream so I didn't spend as much as it seems. I think I would've died if I actually paid for all these products! I really love high end products but I definitely have to do my research first before I go out and buy them.
