I'm pretty sure you all know by now, since I keep referencing it in every one of my posts lately, that I'm going to Orlando on Wednesday. I have yet to pack and I have no idea what I'm bringing with me in terms of clothes and toiletries but I'm planning on using the few days that I have left to figure that all out. I have however, narrowed down some things that I needed to pick up before I left so I made a wonderful trip to Sephora and Lush today to get them as well as placed an order on Sigma for some new brushes. Also, I didn't get much for Christmas in terms of beauty, my uncles gave me video games and my aunts gave me a WiiU (it also counted as my birthday present), but I did get two items that I've decided to include in this haul so I wouldn't overload you guys with posts.
First up, I noticed that my Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner ($30) was starting to dry out and although I think it still has some uses left in it, I didn't want to take the chance of it being the only liquid eyeliner I bring on vacation with me and then have it dry out a few days in. So I decided to try out the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner ($15) from Sephora since I can only order the Dolly Wink from Amazon and I'd be cutting it close with shipping. I've heard a lot of great things about this eyeliner and I really hope it lives up to my expectations since it's going to be my backup, or possibly default, liquid liner for my vacation.
As for the two Christmas presents I got from Sephora, one of my aunts got me this Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Linen ($24), which is an eyeshadow primer. I haven't heard much about this product but I know Laura Mercier makes some great products so I think it should be good. I haven't gotten to try this product yet because I'm trying really hard to use up my Urban Decay Primer Potion before I use any of my other eyeshadow primers.
My aunt also got me this Josie Maran Magic Marker Argan Liquid Eye Liner ($22) from Sephora. I haven't heard much about this product either but I did try using it when I found out my Dolly Wink liner was drying out to see if it was worthy of being brought with me to Orlando. Unfortunately, I read some reviews and after trying it out, it didn't make the cut. The liner is more dark gray than black and it isn't as long lasting as I'd like.
Now for my Lush products! I went to Lush to pick up a body butter because I really need to bring a body lotion with me on vacation and due to the TSA's wonderful "nothing over 1.7 fl oz." rule, it's hard to bring enough lotion for 9 days. I decided to get Lush's Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter ($10.95) because it works as both a body scrub and a lotion, and it's solid so it doesn't apply to the TSA rule! Three birds, one stone. Body butters are meant to be used in the shower and when you rinse them off the moisture is supposed to sink into your skin so you don't need to apply lotion after you towel off.
Then, while I was at Lush, I've been really wanting to try their cleansers so I asked for samples of their Herbalism Facial Cleanser and their Angels on Bare Skin Facial Cleanser. Herbalism is made for oily skin types with blemish prone skin whereas Angels on Bare Skin is made for all skin types. I decided to try both because while Herbalism works to decongest pores and clear up acne, which I definitely need at the moment, Angels on Bare Skin is great for sensitive skin, which I also have. My skin is annoyingly high maintenance!
Finally, I placed an order on Sigma for a new set of brushes since my old set was starting to shed. I bought the Mrs. Bunny Essential Kit ($120), which comes with an E05 Eye Liner, E30 Pencil, E40 Tapered Blending, E55 Eye Shading, E60 Large Shader, E65 Small angle, F70 Medium Angled Shading, F30 Large Powder, F50 Duo Fibre, F60 Foundation and F70 Concealer brushes. All the brushes are made of synthetic fibers and the set comes in a carrying case that you can use to safely travel with your brushes and it also snaps apart into two containers so you can use them to store your brushes. Sigma also gave me a free gift with purchase, an eyeshadow from their Dare palette in the shade Grasp.

Body butters are amazing! I hope you enjoy your new products!
