The Elle Awards 2012: Lips

Can you believe it's already New Years Eve?! Well, I kind of can because this year has been a tough one. College has officially kicked my ass and the year passed by rather slow for me but I'm expecting 2013 to be much better. So to close off the year I want to finish up my Elle Awards of 2012 with the Lips category. Best Lip Balm: EOS Strawberry Sorbet Lip Balm ($2.96)

Pros:

• Moisturizing
• Smells nice and tastes nice!
• Easy to apply

Cons:

• Bulky!

Best Tinted Lip Balm: Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me ($2.99) - Review

Pros:

• Great pigmentation for a tinted lip balm
• Wonderful introductory red shade to those who are more hesitant to try out red lips
• Moisturizing

Cons:

• Not long lasting

Best Lipstick: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sassy Mauve ($4.99) - Review

Pros:

• Highly pigmented
• Wonderful "your lips but better" shade

Cons:

• Somewhat drying
• Lasts 4-5 hours

Best Lip Gloss:  (none) Best Lip Stain: Tarte LipSurgence in Sweet ($24)

Pros:

• Adds a nice touch of color
• Long lasting

Cons:

• The shine starts to fade quickly but the color will stay on your lips

Best Lip Liner: (none) Have a Happy New Year everyone!
